Premier Shawn Graham declared April 21, 2008 Lions Appreciation Day in New Brunswick, in honour and recognition of the work of the Lions Clubs of New Brunswick and around the world. A number of members from New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island and parts of Maine visited the Legislative Assembly today.

Moncton Mayor Lorne Mitton, centre, receives a pair of tickets from Shilo Bellis of XL96 for the second annual Blindfold Dinner to be held next Thursday at the Moncton High School Auditorium. The dinner and concert are presented by the Moncton and Riverview Lions Clubs, represented here by Joe Ruet of the Riverview club, and will feature a dinner and concert with special guests Melanie Morgan, Ivan Daigle and the recording stars The Wilkinsons. Money raised goes to support the Lions Foundation of Canada Dog Guides program. Tickets for the dinner at 6 p.m. and concert at 7:30 p.m. are $53.75 and for the concert only are $33.75 and can be purchased at the Moncton Coliseum Box Office or online at tickets.moncton.ca
