Lion Brennan Beaumont was elected to serve as 2nd Vice District Governor at the District N-1 Annual Convention in Miramichi, N.B. April 27th, 2014.
Lion Brennan first became involved with Lions in Niagara Falls Ontario, in 1979 with the Stamford Lions Club. After serving in the Military, he worked in Ontario as a Locomotive Engineer. Upon moving back home to the Maritimes in 1989 in a Management position with CN, he at that time transferred to the Riverview Lions Club.
Within two years of transferring, Canadian National Railway was in the midst of making many changes. Being one of the 2700 Management positions terminated, he then traveled Canada wide, following rail employment. At this time Lion Brennan took a break in Lion service, as the locations where he was working were limited to Lion’s Clubs in those areas.
Returning back to Riverview after a couple of years, he rejoined the Riverview Lions Club. At that time in life he left the Railroad and started his own Cabinet Shop Business. He then worked in the trade he was schooled in, as a Cabinet Maker. He is now employed with Corrections Canada in Dorchester Penitentiary as a Shop Instructor.
In recognition of his dedication to Lionism, he has received several awards, including International Presidents Certificate of Appreciation, Best District Chair, Best club President, Leadership Award, Alert Certificate, LFC Fellow, LFC Life Member, Zone Chair and Zone Chair Liaison, and is a Certified Guiding Lion.
Lion Brennan has recently been a recipient of a Leadership Metal from International President Barry Palmer. He is married to his wife of forty years, Lion Cindi, and they have three girls, two granddaughters and two grandsons.
